Mobile Vending Units
The development of Mobile Vending Units began in the late 1990’s, after which our carts won the prestigious global Business Concept Award (MOOT) in Austin Texas in May, 2000.
MVUs were quickly recognised for their unique design, quality build and superb functionality. In September 2000, the Australian Federal Government demonstrated a Mobile Vending Unit at Business Club Australia, an event run in conjunction with the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
Since then, our cart range has grown and is recognised globally by many operators as highly reliable, functional and beautiful.
World Culinary Championships
Mobile Vending Units was selected as the winning product line in both the “Mobile Vending Systems” and “Coffee & Food Carts” categories for foodservice. Their carts were judged Superior.
The judging was conducted “triple blind” in Northern California by a panel of Chef Masters of Taste. The Chef du Jury was famed Mâitre du Goût (Master of Taste) Jesse Sartain. “We commend the culinary commitment of the staff of 21ST Century Products (North American Distributor) for the excellence and innovation of their product line. We applaud them,” commented Jesse Sartain.
The protocols of “triple blind” judging include the following ground rules to ensure accurate and fair judging results. Evaluators do not know:
- Who the manufacturer is
- What the product variety or appellation is
- What the other evaluators' scores and comments are
The judging was a part of the ongoing World Culinary Championships founded in 1989 with the establishment of the Chefs In America Awards Foundation, who’s professional Board Members gather weekly to conduct taste tests on a myriad of foodservice and retail grocery products.
