Stainless steel and aluminium construction - where hygiene, presentation and longevity are important

With the exception of powder coated aluminium Gullwing Doors, Mobile Vending Units are manufactured using stainless steel.

What is Aluminium?

Aluminium is a soft, durable, lightweight, malleable metal with appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray, depending on the surface roughness. Aluminium is nontoxic, nonmagnetic, and nonsparking.

What is Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel is essentially a low carbon steel which contains chromium at 10% or more by weight. It is this addition of chromium that gives the steel its unique stainless, corrosion resisting properties.

Hygiene

The easy cleaning ability of stainless makes it the first choice for strict hygiene conditions, such as hospitals, kitchens, abattoirs and other food processing plants.

Long term value

When the total life cycle costs are considered, stainless is often the least expensive material option.

Stainless steel type - THE CHOICE IS YOURS!

304 grade stainless steel., sometimes referred to as 'hospital grade', is the most commonly used high quality stainless used for commercial kitchens etc. If your MVU will be used next to the sea, 316 (marine grade) stainless is recommended otherwise, 304 is the right choice.
